Application of 320-detector Row Computed Tomography Angiography for Evaluating Diabetic Ophthalmic Arteriosclerotic Disease[J]. Journal of Sun Yat-sen University (Medical Sciences), 2014, 35(2).DOI:
【Objective】 To investigate the value of 320-detector row CT angiography for evaluating diabetic ophthalmic arteriosclerotic disease. 【Methods】 30 patients without diabete and 22 patients with diabete underwent 320-detector row CT angiography. The obtained thin-slice images were reformatted by using maximum intensity projection
volume rendering
multiplanar reconstruction and curved planar reformation to evaluate ophthalmic artery. The features of the ophthalmic arteries were assessed. 【Results】 320-detector row CT angiography could exactly show the course
morphological features of the ophthalmic artery and the anatomical detail of arteriosclerotic disease. Arteriosclerostic was found in variant degree in 22 cases
of them
6
2
6 sides were slight arteriostenosis in intracranial
intracanaled and intraorbital segment
4
4
2 sides were medium arteriostenosis respectively. The most type of plaque property were calcified plaque and mixed plaque. 【Conclusion】 320-detector row CT angiography is of significant value in the assessment of arteriosclerotic disease of ophthalmic arteries in the patients with diabetes.
